I admire you for basically cooking at each meal. We mainly cook dinner except for Fridays when we go out; breakfast and lunch hubby is usually at work; I just grab something easy and quick for both:)

Betty: We’re retired so cooking most meals is both a requirement (to save money) and a blessing (because we have the time to do so).
I am glad I started meal planning though. It turned my grocery budget 180 degrees. We spend less. We eat better. And I enjoy hubby’s company more.
Great plan. Sometimes half the struggle with meals is deciding what to cook! (and having the ingredients!)
Jenny: We were always so indecisive about what to eat. I hate being the one making the decisions but at least now we don’t debate it. He’s happy to eat whatever I make as long as it’s not oatmeal. LOL.
Tasty meal plan! I agree with Jenny. It’s hard to decide what to have for dinner sometimes. Hubby and I do make our meals from scratch though, like you, to cut down on costs. I think it’s a lot healthier too. Do you make extra when you do soups and stews and other things that will freeze easily? That’s another great tip, that can save time another day when you might not feel like cooking.
I should have read the older posts first, since I see you do freeze meals. Glad you’re feeling better now.
Shelley: It’s easy for me to freeze meals since most recipes seem to be family size. With two people you can’t help but have leftovers.
