I recently took one of those tests on Facebook (don’t judge – you know you’ve done it too) to assess whether you are a true Seattle-ite or not, and not surprisingly, it came back NOT a north westerner …..why… I have issue with and don’t ever condone the following:
1. Polar Fleece
2. Socks with sandals
3. Fanny packs (ok, that is a microsoftie thing)
What I am big on though, is chic fashionable clothing for normal women – and bonus, organic and eco friendly made locally – not easy to come by. Unless, you shop at the new Lizzie Parker eco-atelier in Gilman Village. In our bright, roomy store, you’ll find a whole collection of ultra-soft bamboo jersey in dozens of styles. In honor of our recent coverage in In Touch weekly, fav-t on special this weekend only 2 for $80 (Normally $54)

So STOP by THIS WEEKEND; Friday – Sunday and replace above with:
1. Lizzie Parker tye-dye maxi dress for summer that can be worn multiple ways – pure genius.

2. Olsen Haus Vegan sandals , pass on the socks

3. Handbags from Clutch – always hip.

If you only do one thing this weekend, check out the Lizzie Parker store – we make eco-friendly look gooood.

The flagship atelier (that’s Frenchie for “artist’s workshop”) opens in historic Gilman Village, with an opening weekend starting April 24th, 317 NW Gilman Blvd, Suite 41, Issaquah, WA 98027 425.427.0708.
Press and stylist visits welcome, starting April 22, call for appointment.
The atelier stocks Lizzie’s flattering and fashion-forward skirt, dress, and top designs, with lots that you can wear multiple ways, like our fave maxi dress that pulls double-duty as a long and short dress.

Everything’s crafted in studio, a la project runway style, with supersoft, organic (pesticides make bad accessories), fair-trade bamboo with a beautiful drape that complements any shape and colors like popsicle give your wardrobe some pop on gray days.

Parker has developed a fashion ecosystem to support her collection over the past three years and brings other select designers into the mix, to complement the offering.
Olsen Haus (vegan footwear)
Clutch (Condo on the Eastside, focusing on sustainable handbags)
Jen Darling (Eco Travel Bags)
Moon and Lola (Jewlery)
Kathy Croson (Art)
Parker has lived and worked in Seattle for over 10 years and could not imagine turning elsewhere for interesting inspiration and resources to build her business.
